N11: of "Damside". Was at the battle of FALKIRK; 17 Jan 1746 (old style). He aquired Damside in 1745, 3 years after it was built.
N12: Her father, Alexander MacGregor, was at the battle of PRESTONPANS; 20 Sep 1745.
N21: Janet's tombstone in Kilmahog says that Janet was married to Duncan McNaughton.
N31: Of Bucklyvie and, from 1862, Hurst Green, Sussex.
N32: Alexander prospered in the tea trade as an agent importing tea. He started as a lowly grocer's
assistant and was later a commercial traveller. He attended night school at Glasgow University,
married a Professor's daughter, and gradually became a successful businessman. His greatest
success was his evangelical work with the city's poorest children. (Fenella Lacey)
N33: Jessie, daughter (probably) of Dr Thomas T MACKLIN, General Practitioner - see 1881 British Census.
N41: John and Christine were cousins. Christine was 87 in 1982. Living at 38 Edgehill Rd, Glasgow.
N42: Tea planter in Assam. His son Sandy was born there.
N51: Sandy was a Baptist minister in Glasgow. Lived at 8 Ibrox Holm Place, Glasgow SW1.
N61: Met Donald on a golf course. He is a civil servant in London. Came to MacKeith gathering a Donald's.
N62: They lived at Kyte Green, Ditchet, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
N63: George was killed in 1939 - 1945 war.
N64: Jim ELDER died suddenly in Nigeria
N71: "Dr" William Donald MacKEITH was an unqualified assistant.
N81: Marjorie MacKeith was housewife to her mother, died before 1960.
N82: Kathleen MacKeith was artist and civil servant, In 1960 was retired, and living in Glasgow.
N83: Engineer. Name is John Mayhew MacKEITH on Robert's tree.
N91: Mrs Phoebe Black of Abbey House, New Abbey Road, Dumfries; a first or second cousin of Gracie MacKeith. Phoebe's mother was a Sloane.
N93: Nicky and family live in Germany.
N94: Peter died climbing "Old Snowy" in the Alaska Range. He is buried in Fairbanks, Alaska.
